I notice people have been throwing their own tips around lately so I thought it might be fun to put my own opinion in to help out anyone if they need it?
I know personally, I didn't start really getting better at art, or enjoying my art, until I had the epiphany: the grass doesn't have to be green.
So to speak.
Art is about breaking the rules.
Why else would they set them there?
But in order to break the rules, you have to know them.
Learn colour theories, learn some simple anatomy, watch and learn the world around you as you live. Think deep.
And then break everything you knew to be true.
That's where you get your creativity flowing.
